18 months ago, we worked on an augmented reality project with our friend Hudson-Powell called Hungry Hungry Eat Head. The project was made part of the MOMA catalogue in New-York in the Spring and is now currently exhibited as part of the Talk To Me exhibition.

We were commissioned by Mother London to write the score for Beck's Green Box project, promoting the works of up and coming artists alongside confirmed names in augmented reality. The project brings together art and technology and we hope that the project will be a success and reconducted for the years to come.

A few months back, we were asked by Prune Nourry to provide music to her solo show Holy Daughters. The show turned out to be very successful and has now been chosen to feature in the Pompidou Centre in Paris, as part of an exhibition about India.

We've just finished collaborating with Award-winning director Martin Fougerol of Alex & Martin fame and Paris' COSA Films to make this great film about the work of classic graffiti artist JonOne for the Abbe Pierre Foundation in Paris.

After repeated requests, we've finally uploaded an extract of the original first film of JR's ongoing project "Women Are Heroes" which culminated in the release of the artist's feature film of the same name, acclaimed in the Cannes film festival in 2010 and in the theaters in 2011.
The film was directed by JR with Anthony Dickenson and Dan Lowe. The music was composed and produced by Jean-Gabriel Becker for Sounds & Sons, marking our first of many collaborations with JR.
This is a rare document as this film in its entirity was only released in art galleries during JR's shows around the world in 2008, 2009 and 2010:

SOUNDS & SONS WISH YOU A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR 2011
In 2011, JR's feature film with our music on it is released, we put some music into the MOMA in New-York, we've got new releases all around, we're looking East with opportunities opening in the far East, and most importantly, there'll be plenty of exciting new music to make and to listen to.
In a few meaningful words, we're really looking forward to 2011 and send all our best wishes for 2011 to all of our fans, colleagues and collaborators.
We've composed the music for this super interesting film for the White Cube Gallery about the work of Antony Gormley, which is currently exhibited in the alpine views of Austria.
A few months back, we collaborated with our friends Hudson-Powell and wrote several pieces of music for this interactive piece called Grazing
Jellies, which was shown as part of the AND
festival.
We just heard the wonderful news that the piece has just been integrated into the catalogue of the Museum Of Moderm Art (MOMA) in New-York City. We're delighted to write the name of Sounds & Sons in the books of this great institution and are hoping for the work to be exhibited in the coming year.

We've just completed a great little film for the Victoria & Albert museum. It is the work of director Federico Urdaneta with whom we collaborated in composing a modern waltz bringing together the traditional structure of the waltz with an edgy and modern fuzz.
A few months ago, we mixed and did additional production on tracks by ex-Bondo Do Role Marina Gasolina for her forthcoming album.
The first single of those sessions called Leone is finally out. A great and haunting track with a great and haunting video.
A few days ago, we got the great news that our friend and collaborator JR has been awarded the very prestigious TED awards for 2011.
The award celebrates his work as an artist, which Sounds & Sons has been lucky enough to be a part of over the last couple of years, with Jean-Gabriel Becker composing several scores for video works as part of his exhibitions, as well as part of the score for his forthcoming feature film "Women Are Heroes", due out in January 2011.

This great little film commissioned by Nike and the Art Review shows a lot of prominent artists recreating the World Cup.
It was directed by Tom Haines and Chino Moya and scored by Etienne Tron (of Radioclit fame) and Jean-Gabriel Becker for Sounds & Sons.

Mike Lindsay from Tunng teamed up with Swedish artist Tulla to produce this haunting piece of music for this film advertising the Barbican's current exhibition called Surreal House.

We're now back from a performance tour in the Philippines where we performed our own material mixed with carefully chosen tracks for the Fete De La Musique events in Cebu and Manila.
The events were organised by the local Alliances Francaises in Cebu and Manila.

While we were there, we performed a bunch of exciting DJ sets in local clubs in these two cities.
We've got further collaborations with local artists and organisations in the pipeline, mixing electronic music and traditional as well as modern Pinoy music.

We found this live footage of the John Foxx gig at the Roundhouse to give you an idea of the show and the synth setup onstage...
We've also been spending some time at the Cannes film festival, attending the screenings of "Women Are Heroes" for which we composed a good chunk of the score.
The film was greeted with an amazing welcome at the Palais Des Festivals,with a long standing ovation after its screening, as written here,
and great feedback from critics too as you can read there.
Here is a short snippet of the film to make you wait patiently until its general release after the summer.
We collaborated with synth legend John Foxx to bring John's classic albums back to life at the Roundhouse on Saturday 5th June.
The event was a great success with high quality sound and visuals and a crowd that asked for two encores.
We provided John with layers of analogue greatness bringing on stage the MOOGs and ARPs to recreate the great tracks of such groundbreaking albums as "Metamatic" or Ultravox's "Systems Of Romance" as well as John's most recent collaborations with Benge.

GREAT NEWS!! Long time collaborator JR's new feature film Women Are Heroes has just been selected for the official selection for the Camera d'Or in the Cannes international film festival.
We've been working on the soundtrack alongside Massive Attack and Patrice Bart Williams and will be heading over there to attend the showing at the Palais des Festivals and on the Croisette.
